A situation in which the price of a security is on, or about to take, a declining trajectory because a large block (influential quantity) is for sale, or rumor has it this security would be for sale in large quantity. As soon as the market feels supply of a security would substantially exceed demand, its price could weaken or start to follow a declining course.
