An investment vehicle (pool) that raises capital by selling securities to the public without providing specific details about the intended use of the funds raised. However, a blind pool may indicate to the providers of funds the general venue or industry where the funds will be deployed.
A popular type of blind pools is the blank check (blank check offering), which is completely silent on the intended use of the proceeds from the offering and hence the name “blank checks” as the promotor can use the proceeds at sole discretion.
